The Organic Farming Academy contributes to the holistic development of Zimbabwe and its people.

We support small-scale farmers and wild collectors through training in certified and regenerative organic farming to ensure that their crops meet the highest international standards.

We actively promote knowledge transfer that is based on cooperation and empowerment .

Our trainers have more than 14 years’ experience in training of impoverished small-scale farmers and wild collectors. We focus on training in innovative and ethical organic farming.

We also engage in training for farmers in how to attain international certification standards.

TRAINING

Training in organic farming and certification empowers small-scale farmers and wild collectors so that they can escape the vicious cycle of reliance on imported inputs, unsustainable methods of farming, volatile markets, low producer prices, and lack of marketing.

Through our educative role, we enable the farmers and wild collectors to have healthier crops due to enhanced soil fertility and a viable income, resulting in disaster risk reduction. In the long term, a vital CO2 sink for the environment will be created.

Furthermore, we offer training in certification, such as organic (NOP and EU), FairTrade, and FairWild, as well as access and benefit-sharing, farming as a business and community development training.
